The lofty Picos de Europa envelop the charming hotel,Casona D’Alevia. This farmhouse belonging to their parents has been recreated lovingly by its present owners to include the restoration of features dating back to the 15th Century.
They have tried to maintain the memory held within its walls of past lives undertaking a restoration which keeps to the original structure and its local materials of stone and chestnut in windows, doors, and its ironmongery. This has been achieved in such a way as to improve the building without losing its innate characteristics. These remain and are in perfect harmony with its surroundings and the traditional local architecture. The hotel has a family atmosphere with excellent service and offers lodging in a very special place in a spectacular natural environment.
In 1997, Marilupe, Applied Arts teacher, and Gregorio, Engineer and Economist, authors of this Project, with their daughters opened their “home” again now as a hotel to all those that wish in their journey to Asturias; “Natural Paradise” honour us with their presence.
